DEC Showcase

It was a delight to welcome back Vicki Irving from DEC for our 2nd round of judging of students’ architectural models. Year 9 DT students undertook a project working along with Design Engineer Construct to create an inclusive home for the future for everyone. Over the past term students have created client profiles, drawn their homes in two point perspective and created elevation drawingsStudents have researched energy efficient profiles of houses and thought about how it could be applied to their own designs to make them future proof.

Vicki Irving spoke to the students about the opportunities with civil and structural engineering, architecture and facilities management. Students had the opportunity to talk about their models with Vicki before the winners were announced. There is now a push to see the final models produced this year by students, Vicki is already looking forward to seeing the amazing outcomes

Well done to the second term winnersJosh, Isabella , Georgia, Callum, Kade, Frazier, Lilly, Lucas, Alice & Maisie
