Farms for City Children enables children from urban communities to experience the adventure of working together on a farm in the heart of the British countryside.
Southmoor Academy are aiming to give 28 of our students the opportunity to escape the City and spend five days at Wick Court Farm in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside. To help fund this trip, we are raising money in a variety of different ways. Our students have already been raising money by washing staff cars and in two weeks time Mrs Doherty will be running the London Marathon and hoping to raise some sponsorship to help the student’s fundraising efforts. Please consider donating whatever you can to help the children have this amazing opportunity (your kindness will also give Mrs Doherty a boost for the 26.2miles ahead).
