Rugby Squad Finish the Season in Style

The Year 10/11 Rugby team played their last competitive game of the season where they ran out 35-15 winners against local rival St Aidens.

Captain on the night was Will F who led the sides impressive display in the forwards to build the platform for the backs to make the Southmoor dominance count on the score board. Owen B made one last appearance for the school, and he proved to be the difference maker linking up play with Alfie R and Steven S.

Try scorers were: Owen B, Anton B, Liam F, Lewis D, Stephen S.

The T.R.E.D.S award from outstanding contribution across the season went to Stephen S. His commitment to the team, attitude and encouragement towards others has been outstanding. This was matched only by his performances on the pitch.

Mr Scott has said that it has been a pleasure to work with this team throughout the 24/25 season and he very much looks forward to working with the Year 10s next year. For the Year 11s that are leaving in the summer, good luck with everything you do and we are sure that if you apply the effort you’ve shown on the rugby pitch you will all be huge successes!
