On Thursday we held our annual celebration of reading as we joined together to show our enthusiasm for World Book Day. KS3 pupils were invited to share favourite books from home whilst staff read aloud their favourite passages from books across the school.

Some pupils enjoyed re-writing the plays they are currently studying in English, modernising Shakespeare or transforming the ending of modern texts with a plot twist! There was much excitement in the yard as pupils were given the opportunity to choose a book to take home, completed quizzes as sweets were handed out and book tokens were distributed.

The book tokens can be spent from now until Sunday 23rd March 2025 at any of the following stores: Asda, Lidl, Sainsburys, Tesco, The Works, Waterstones and WHSmith.
